Çanakkale Diving Tour

5 Days in Çanakkale, Turkey

History. Sea. Real wreck sites.

These are not artificially sunk objects. They are authentic vessels from that era.

WHY ÇANAKKALE

Çanakkale is located on the Dardanelles Strait — a narrow sea passage connecting the Aegean and Marmara Seas.,

In 1915, the Dardanelles (Gallipoli) Campaign — a major naval and land operation of the First World War — took place here. Due to minefields and artillery fire, several military and transport vessels were damaged and sank in the strait.

Today, these wrecks lie at depths accessible for recreational diving and are preserved as underwater historical heritage.

It is a rare combination of real historical context, natural strait conditions and accessible wreck sites.

DIVE SITES OF THE REGION

Dives take place in the waters of the Dardanelles and Gallipoli — an area of real naval events from 1915.

Among the wrecks in the region:
• British and French warships damaged during the naval phase of the campaign • transport and support vessels • supply barges

• elements of mine barriers

Some wrecks are partially affected by time and currents, while others still preserve recognizable parts of their hull and structure. Depths remain within the recreational diving range. Dives are conducted without deep penetration inside the structures.
